Typical liqueur of the Emilia region obtained with the infusion of sloe berries, harvested at the end of summer, with the addition of small doses of other woodland herbs.
FRUIT USED: SLOE BERRIES (Prunus spinosa)
The fruit has a blue-blackish drupe with abundantly waxy bloom. The meaty portion is greenish and sticks to the small stone, which is typically tangy in taste and elongated and flattened in shape.
It can be enjoyed smooth at the end of a meal, cold or at room temperature depending on the season. It can be kept in the freezer.
